A CELEBRATION of life concert in memory of Donegal musician Ted Ponsonby takes place on Monday in Letterkenny.
There was much sadness across the county in September following the death of Ted Ponsonby, late of Glencar Scotch, who has been remembered as one of Donegal’s finest ever musical exports.
A host of musicians will come together to celebrate the life of Ted Ponsonby at the special concert on Monday, November 6 in Clanree Hotel.
Donations at the door will be in aid of Friends of Letterkenny Hospital.
Some of the acts playing on Monday night include the Henry Sisters, Tanya McCole, Brendan Quinn, the Mindbenders and Paul Casey – with many more expected on the night.
The Donegal Youth Orchestra and the Donegal Chamber Orchestra are both playing pieces on Culture Night on Friday night in memory of Ted and also for families bereaved in the Letterkenny area recently.
