A new beginning as Cathal Sheridan is first captain of Station House Golf Society

The Station House Golf Society in Letterkenny (formerly The Drum Bar Golf Society) held  their inaugural Captain’s Drive-In at Dunfanaghy Golf Club. 

It marks a new beginning of the popular golf society whose members availed of the facilities and 

hospitality of the Gallagher family and the Drum Bar on Letterkenny’s Lower Main Street since the society was formed over 20 years ago.

The new captain of the society, Cathal Sheridan thanked The Drum Bar and the Gallagher family for their support and generosity over many years.

He also thanked Brian Gallagher of the Station House Hotel for welcoming the society into their premises and Cathal said all the members look forward to a long and fruitful friendship in their new home.

The winner of the society’s first outing to Dunfanaghy was Eileen Crossan with the captain, Cathal taking second spot and Eileen’s husband Michael in third.

The results were as follows: 1st Eileen Crossan, 2nd Cathal Sheridan, 3rd Michael Crossan; Ladies Vera Kearney; Front 9, Laura Crawford, Back 9, Paddy Delap; Category 1, Pat Loughnane, Category 2, Damien McGlynn; Category 3, Ollie Moran; Nearest the pin, Paddy Delap; Longest drives, Oliver Duffy and Laura Crawford.
