A ‘Murray Christmas’ with the Henry Girls

The Henry Girls – Karen, Lorna and Joleen – are featured on John Murray’s Christmas album in aid of Aware.

DONEGAL’S favourite sister trio, the Henry Girls, are featured on a new RTÉ Christmas release raising funds for Aware.

The Malin girls feature on RTÉ Radio 1’s A Murray Christmas, a unique collection of original songs and seasonal classics, as well as readings from some truly inspiring individuals.

The sisters recorded their original song Mr Snowman for the album which also features original material by Little Green Cars, Luan Parle and John Spillane.

Sinead O’Connor, The Coronas, Lumiere, Declan O’Rourke, Jack L, Wallis Bird and Miss Paula Flynn sing stunning arrangements of classics like White Christmas, When a Child is Born, Let it Snow and The Christmas Song.

There are also stirring readings from legendary broadcaster Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh, aid worker Sharon Commins and transplant patient Maeve McGivern, accompanied by music from Sharon Shannon, Eoin Dillon and David Brophy.

The Henry Girls will also feature in a special Murray Christmas Concert at St. Anne’s Church, Dawson Street on Wednesday, December 12. Other performers will include Sinead O’Connor, John Spillane, Luan Parle, Wallis Bird and Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh.
