ON FRIDAY night Got To Dance sensations Static Movement are hosting a variety show with a difference at An Grianán Theatre in Letterkenny (8pm).
Eric Roberts and Vinny McLaughlin, from Downings and Letterkenny respectively, have attracted excellent reviews since they burst onto the entertainment scene two years ago.
In January Irish Sky television viewers cheered on the two dancers when they made the big step onto the Got To Dance stage to vie for a chance to make it to the talent show’s final.
Static Movement made it to the final 150 of Series 3 before they unfortunately didn’t make the final cut by judges Ashley Banjo (Diversity), actress and choreographer Kimberly Wyatt and Adam Garcia (Coyote Ugly) to the final 23.
But the two Donegal dancers didn’t leave the show without making a big impression on not only the judges, but television viewers all over the country and a video of their performance on the show on YouTube has clocked up nearly 200,00 hits.
Eric (21) and Vinny (20) are both about to complete first year Performing Arts students at the North West Regional College in Derry.
When they aren’t studying you will find them on various stages, at night clubs and even private parties performing as the dance duo Static Movement.
Static Movement is a body popping and robotics act with a comedy twist and first sprung to life two years ago when the two dancers first met each other.
