A blow for Ramelton as two businesses announce closure

THERE has been much disappointment in Ramelton this week after two popular food businesses announced their closure.

The well known coffee van, Bambi and Bean took to social media earlier this week to notify their customers that they will be closing due to their barista making a career move across the country.

The coffee van was located at the Quay and was first opened back in 2020 by Matthew Johnston.

Since then it has served the community and became a much loved feature of the food industry in the town.

On top of this loss, the pizzeria, Sip and Slice has sold its premises and has closed its doors in Ramelton.

Renowned for their delicious pizzas and toasties, the food yard has become a vibrant hub of food, coffee and atmosphere.

Fortunately, the restaurant has promised customers that the closure will not be the end and they plan to look at new locations.

The two closures will be a huge disappointment to the local community who have relied upon businesses like these to attract tourism and custom to their town.

The news has come at a time when Ramelton’s famed food van, Johnny’s Ranch’s future is in jeopardy over planning issues.
