THERE is much sadness in Letterkenny following the passing of Áilbhe Hines, Cashel Park, Letterkenny.
Áilbhe, who was originally from College Farm Road in Letterkenny, was very well known and her passing, which occurred at her home, is deeply by her family, many friends and the artistic community.
She worked as a facilitator with Change Makers Donegal and the group has led the tributes to Áilbhe, describing her as a beautiful, caring and artistic soul.
A post on social media read: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Áilbhe Hines, a member of our panel of facilitators.
“Last year, Áilbhe co-facilitated the Bookless Bookclub workshop series alongside Francine Blaché-Breen.
“She was a beautiful, caring, and artistic soul. We extend our condolences to Áilbhe’s family, friends and the artistic community in Donegal during this sad time. Suaimhneas síoraí dá hanam.”
A gathering of Áilbhe’s family and friends will take place at The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny (F92XE35) on Thursday, January 8 from 6pm to 8pm.
At the request of the deceased a private cremation will take place.
