77 more people have died from Covid-19 in Ireland

 

SEVENTY-seven more people who were diagnosed with Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland have died bringing the total dearth toll to 687.

Four of the deaths were in the North West, 67 deaths located in the east, 4 in the west and 2 in the south of the country.

77 is the highest daily toll from Covid-19 so far in this country. It means that at least 888 people have now died on the island of Ireland from coronavirus.

The Department of Health has also said that there a further 401 confirmed cases, bringing the total number of cases to 15.652.

There are now 383 cases in Donegal, up seven on the previous day’s figure (376).
