A 37-year-old man has died in a single vehicle collision on the outskirts of Moville on Sunday night.
Gardai in Buncrana are investigating the fatal RTC in Moville which occurred at approximately 11pm at Clar, Redcastle, Moville on a minor road immediately off the Muff to Moville Road, approximately six miles outside Moville.
The male driver was the only occupant in the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the morgue at Letterkenny General Hospital where a post mortem is expected to be carried out this morning, Monday November 3.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place, the road is expected to remain closed until this afternoon.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have been on the road between 9.30pm and 11.15pm on the 2nd November to contact Buncrana Garda station on 074 9320540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
