Donegal never say die – Armagh ladies boss McGonigle

Armagh ladies manager Greg McGonigle praised Donegal’s work ethic to get back into the game before his side pushed on to win in extra-time.

Armagh were four ahead with minutes to go but Katy Herron’s goal and Susanne White’s free brought the pair level with McGonigle sweating over whether Armagh would even make it to extra-time.

“We were maybe fortuitous enough, I thought in normal time we maybe had done enough but obviously with Donegal being Donegal, I don’t know is John (McNulty) waving the same magic powers as Jim McGuinness but they never say die.

“We would have been disappointed with how we dealt with that because obviously we have been in that situation before but we’re just delighted to get out there with the one point win.
