Cór Ailigh to sing at Mass on Sunday broadcast live on RTÉ 1

Tá Seachtain na Gaeilge linn agus tá áthas an domhain ar Chór Ailigh, Leitir Ceanainn a fhógairt go mbeimid ag glacadh páirte san aifreann gaeilge a chraolfar Dé Domhnach 9 Márta ar RTE 1 ó stiúideo RTE i nDomhnach Broc. Is ceiliúradh a bhéas ann ar an aifreann gaeilge a bhíonn ar siúl ar an gcéad Domhnach de gach mí in Ardeaglais Naomh Adhamhnáin, Leitir Ceanainn.

Cór Ailigh under musical director Anne Nicholls, is looking forward to singing at the 11am Mass this Sunday, March 9 which will be broadcast live on RTÉ 1 from the RTÉ studios, Donnybrook, Dublin.

It will be the choir’s contribution to Seachtain na Gaeilge but also a celebration of the Irish mass which is celebrated in St Eunan’s Cathedral on the first Sunday of every month.

The choir will be accompanied by representatives of others who have helped keep this Irish Mass alive for the past 24 years including readers Seán Ó Longain, Paddy Tunney and Pluincéid Ó Fearraigh. Elizabeth and Hugh Devenney will represent the sacristans and the Mass will be celebrated by Monsignor Kevin Gillespie.
