Businesspeople in Letterkenny despair over disruption

BUSINESSPEOPLE on Letterkenny’s Main Street and Market Square are demanding answers from Donegal County Council after a large section of footpath was cordoned off due to safety concerns over dilapidated buildings.

Last Friday, large barriers were erected around the footpath after structural engineers sounded the alarm. The safety concerns focus on three buildings that have been in a state of disrepair for more than a decade.

“I will refuse to leave because it’s just not fair. Seriously, I will glue myself to this place if necessary. It would cost a fortune to move location and you always lose 10% of clientele when doing that,” hairdresser Sara Kostrzewa, pictured right, told the Donegal News.
