Donegal 2-8 Tyrone 1-15
Indiscipline cost Donegal dearly as they lost out to Tyrone in the Ulster Under 21 Championship semi-final in Celtic Park tonight.
Declan Bonner’s team were much the better team in the first half, but they were only 0-6 to 0-4 ahead at half-time.
Tyrone started the second half brilliantly and went in front when Ryan Coleman scored a goal in the 38th minute.
Conor Doherty replied with a goal for Donegal, but they were dealt a blow when Stephen McMenamin was sent off, and his replacement Bruce Waldron followed him to the line seven minutes later.
Tyrone made the most of their two extra players and raced clear, and while Stephen McBrearty netted a late penalty, Donegal lost out by four points.
Tempers frayed after the final whistle with ugly scenes breaking out, and both teams could face heavy punishments for their actions.
