“I welcome the chance to once again be a voice for Defective Concrete homeowners, as well as the wider community.

“Ten years ago, when I helped set up the Mica Action Group, I could not have imagined running for Council, nor could I have imagined that my family, like many others, would still be living in the same crumbling homes.

“The fact that a decade has gone by and we are still without a 100% redress scheme or a positive turnaround in this space, truly highlights the necessity for a new and more impactful political voice, one who will not stop until we see change.

“The Government parties have failed the people of Donegal and must be challenged, and I believe this challenge begins in the Council chamber,” he said.

Eamonn, who is originally from Dublin, chose Milford as his home almost two decades ago.

Since then, he has been a known face in the community as a Mica Action Group representative and as an active member of both the Mulroy Soccer Academy and Fanad Gaels GAA club.

“While the primary reason for me running in this election, is to be a stronger political voice to advocate for those affected by defective concrete products, I will also use my voice to raise the concerns and needs of the wider community,” Eamonn continued.

“I will be on the road soon to visit as many of you as possible and look forward to hearing how I can help.

“My ask is, not only for your support and your number 1 vote in the June elections, but also to have faith in me as your new council representative within the community and to bring about impactful change,” he concluded.

The 100% Redress Party says it will be launching further candidates in the coming days.
