Football star Amber Barrett to appear on Late Late

Donegal woman Amber Barrett is set to join Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show this Friday. 

This summer the Irish women’s soccer team will take their place among the nations of the world at this year’s world cup.

Their first game will see them face the hosts Australia in front of 83,500 fans in Sydney.


It’s all because of a moment of magic from Amber Barrett when she put the ball in the Scottish net last October.

Amber will explain why that goal and her community in Donegal will be forever intertwined and how she feels ahead of the national team’s historic debut at the World Cup this summer.

Amber will be joined by The Great British Bake-Off judge Prue Leith will talk about her incredibly successful career as a restaurateur, novelist, businesswoman and TV star.

Straight from the stage of the annual Press Photographers Association of Ireland (PPAI) Awards Ceremony, PPAI president David Branigan will present some of the award-winning press photos of 2022.
