Conroy free was ‘definitely wide’ – Paddy Carr

Donegal won their opening league match against Kerry thanks to a super score and it looked like they might get a piece of their own medicine on Sunday when Paul Conroy’s free was sailing towards the posts.

The Galway crowd roared it on and the Donegal faithful watched with bated breath.

The umpire was clear and definite that it was a wide ball.

The visiting management team threw their arms up in the air, but speaking with a wry smile after the match, Carr said he felt it was the correct call.
