Additional walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinics over Bank Holiday weekend in Donegal

The HSE will be operating additional walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics this Bank Holiday weekend in Donegal.

No appointment is needed and you can attend any of these walk-in clinics, located around the country, to receive your next booster vaccine if you are 18 years and over.

Everyone will be offered a bivalent booster vaccine. Vaccines are proven to be your best protection against serious illness from COVID-19. If you haven’t had your booster vaccine yet, you’re at high risk.

A spokesperson for the HSE said, “With COVID-19 still very active in our communities, the HSE are making it easier than ever for people to top up their protection against the virus.

“Currently there are high levels of respiratory viruses, including COVID-19, in circulation in the community. Therefore it’s important that all eligible people avail of COVID-19 booster to protect themselves and those around them from serious COVID-19 illness.

“All people in the 18-49 years age group are eligible for their second COVID-19 booster, provided it is six months since their last vaccine or since they had a COVID-19 infection.

“The HSE will also issue a reminder text messages to the 18-49 year olds due a booster. Almost 1.7 million are in this group and to date 95,000 or 6% have taken their second booster vaccine.”
