GLENSWILLY will aim to collect their first ever Minor ‘A’ title when they take on Four Masters in the Championship final at O’Donnell Park today (Monday) at 2.30pm.
Glenswilly reached the final last year but failed to perform and were well beaten.
The majority of that side are back again and Donegal legend Michael Murphy is in charge of the Pairc Naomh Columba side.
They are craving glory but team mentor Lee Gildea is anticipating a tough battle against Four Masters, who are yet to lose a game all season.
“It would be brilliant if we could win our first minor title but they aren’t easy won,” said the affable butcher.
“We played in the minor final last year and it didn’t go our way.
“We have never been competitive at minor ‘A’ level before never mind getting to back-to-back finals.
“Nine of our team played in last year’s final and hopefully we can get over the line but it won’t be easy.
“Four Masters haven’t been beaten all year so that’s what we are up against.”
