DONEGAL County Council will make a decision in February on a number of proposed dwelling demolitions due to mica.
The local authority is currently in receipt of four proposed dwelling demolitions due to defective mica blockwork. Applicants lodged their proposed plans with Donegal County Council in December.
One proposed demolition is for a dwelling in Listillion, Letterkenny. In their submitted application, the applicant outlines plans for the construction of a replacement dwelling connecting to existing services. Proposals also include a domestic garage, amendments to the existing driveway and all associated site development.
Three other proposals for demolition were lodged from applicants in Inishowen. In Tullagh, Clonmany, plans have been submitted for the demolition of a dwelling and domestic garage due to defective mica blockwork granted under a prior planning permission, and the erection of a replacement dwelling of the same footprint to be connected.
Another planning application was lodged by an applicant in Luddan, Buncrana. It comprises the demolition of existing dwelling due to defective mica blockwork, the erection of a replacement dwelling with connection to existing services, and all associated site development works. A similar application has been lodged from an applicant in Burnfoot.
