A common theory in Donegal GAA circles is that no team gets an easy game at the Bridge, but Brian McLaughlin has always enjoyed lining out on home turf.
McLaughlin has been starring at senior level for St Michael’s for nearly thirty years and he has helped his club climb up the ranks.
“I always liked playing at the Bridge. We would feel if the weather isn’t great, playing at home is nearly worth four or five points to us.
“If the breeze is with you, you’re like Joe Canning in the hurling, lining up sidelines. Some boys have it down to a tee.
“It can be a bleak enough place on a tight day, and people have told me before that they just can’t wait to get out of it.”
