Letterkenny comic store suiting up for super birthday

LETTERKENNY’S Sector 001 Comics will celebrate its first birthday tomorrow (Saturday) from 9am to 6pm.

Not satisfied with giving away free treat-bags and balloons for children, free donuts and water and of course some free comics, Sector 001 is having a sale. There will be ten per-cent off the marked price of all comics, action figures, models, statues, graphic novels, back issues and more.

The €1 Lucky Dip is back with gift vouchers of €25, €15 and €10 up for grabs. Finally, Sector 001 Comics is having a big birthday raffle, tickets starting at €1, with an awesome selection of prizes worth over €100, including first issue comics, posters, figures, award-winning
books, wargaming miniatures and more.

“This is really exciting for Sector 001 and our community,” says owner Catherine Charlwood. “It’s incredible to be involved in the resurgence of comics, and to see everyone, from four-year-olds to 84-year-olds finding joy in reading. Plus it’s been amazing to see such support for local business over the last year.”

No birthday would be complete without a special guest or two. Magician of the Year 2019, Jessica Harkin will be stopping by in the afternoon to provide balloon animals, prices from only €1. To top it all off, everyone’s friendly neighborhood superhero, Spiderman, is taking a break from web-slinging around New York to spend some time with Sector 001 Comics and take some of his famous selfies on Saturday.
