Kevin Mulhern

Name: Kevin Mulhern

Age: 26

Occupation: Tyre fitter at KM Tyres.

Team: Cloughaneely.

If you were throwing a party and you could invite anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you ask around? Kevin Hart, we would laugh the night away.

Where do you like to go out to celebrate after a big victory? The Shamrock pub.

What’s the worst pitch you’ve ever played on?
The hen house – usually we do pre-season on it.

Which character in any film are you most like?
Tom Hardy takes no nonsense.

Any odd items in your kit bag?
Found my son’s dummy in it one day.

Who’s the biggest joker in the team you play for?
Kevin ‘Beag’ McFadden.

Which team mate has the best looking other half?
Apart from my own, I’d say Paddy Cannon’s. Her name is Geraldine something!

Who is the worst trainer? John ‘excuses’ Harley.

Who spends most time in front of the mirror in the dressing room? Darren ‘Balotelli’ McGeever or Ciaran ‘Girder’ Scanlon.

Who’s the best/worst person to sit beside on the team bus? Shaun ‘Tubby’ McClaffery is the worst.

Who has the best and who has the worst diet on the team, and what does it include?

My diet is the best: lean protein and carbs. Worst would have to be Ciaran ‘Girder’ Scanlon. He loves a Chinese and is straight up to big Brian’s chip van after training.

Toughest opponent you have faced?
Stephen O’Neill in 2010. He was still very tricky.

Best or worst quote you’ve heard, either from a manager, player, opponent?
‘Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard’ was thrown out a few times and I liked it.

Best manager you’ve ever played under?
Would have to to be Jim McGuinness.

Best ever performance?
Against Tipperary in the All-Ireland U21 semi-final in 2010.

One to forget? Dublin in the All-Ireland Under 21 Final.

Sporting ambition? Get back to the Senior Championship and win the Dr Maguire Cup with Cloughaneely.

When you were playing in the back garden, who did you pretend to be? Peter Canavan – genius.

If you were in charge of transfers, who’d be in and who’d be out of the team? Wouldn’t change anything. Great wee bunch of lads at the club.
