CYCLING enthusiasts are being invited to join an upcoming charity cycle from Malin to Mizen as it makes its way through Donegal.

Cyle for Triona is a charity cycle in memory of Triona Priestly (16) who passed away last year after a battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

Members of Sports Partnership groups from around Ireland are participating in the cycle to raise funds for Temple Street Children’s Hospital and Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.

Triona’s mother, Bernie Priestly works for the Irish Sports Council and is no stranger to Donegal having relations in Inishowen where the cycle will kick off from Malin on May 20.

If any cyclists or non cyclists are free to join the cycle, the Donegal route on Day 1 will be from Malin Head to Carndonagh, Quigleys Point, Letterkenny, Ballybofey, Donegal Town to Bundoran which is a good stiff stage to get the legs going!

The lads will be staying in the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa on the Tuesday night and in the Great Northern in Bundoran on the Wednesday night.

All expenses incurred on the cycle will be borne by the participants themselves. On top of this, they are hoping that to convince members of the public (300+) to sign up for an organ donor card.
