St Eunan’s got off to a great start with a goal from Brian Diver in the fourth minute, but Tiernan Mackle put the ball in the net for Holy Trinity three minutes later.

Neil Gordon’s team were much the better side and dominated the first half, scoring four points on the trot. However, two late scores kept Cookstown in contention at the break.

St Eunan’s extended their lead at the start of the second half when Conor O’Donnell drilled low to the net.

Holy Trinity didn’t give up the fight and they scored five unanswered points to level the match by the 47th minute.

Conor O’Donnell nudged the Letterkenny school back in front with a free in the 54th minute, but an injury-time point from Connor Quinn levelled matters.

Conor O’Donnell missed a late goal chance to win the game for Gordon’s men, but they will get a second chance next weekend.
