Large sum of cash stolen in Ramelton burglary

A LARGE sum of cash was stolen from a safe following a break in at Kernan’s SPAR shop in Ramelton in the early hours of this morning. A male entered the building through a a steel door at rear of the store.

A Garda Spokesperson said: “Gardaí are investigating a burglary which occurred on the 1st December at approximately 3am at a premises at Moorefield, Ramelton.

“An intruder entered the premises and stole a large sum of cash from a safe. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.”
