Donegal to face Galway in qualifiers

Rory Gallagher

DONEGAL will meet beaten Connacht finalists Galway in Round 4A of the qualifiers on Saturday, July 22.

Rory Gallagher’s team booked their place in the next round after a late Patrick McBrearty score gave them a dramatic one-point win against Meath on Saturday evening.

That sends them through to Round 4 of the qualifiers, where they will face Galway, who were surprisingly beaten by Roscommon in the Connacht Final today.

As the tribesmen have already played Mayo this season, they have now been paired with Donegal, and the neutral venue for the game will be decided by the CCCC tomorrow.

Two years ago, Donegal also met Galway in Round 4, and won convincingly.
