DECLAN BONNER: Beaten out the gate

A dejected Ryan McHugh after the final whistle last week

DONEGAL have enjoyed some brilliant days in Clones over the last six years, but last Sunday’s game against Tyrone was certainly not one.

You have a lot of proud Donegal men in the senior dressing room, and they’ll have been keeping a low profile this week.

Last week’s display was not what they’re about, and I’m sure they’re eagerly awaiting the qualifier with Longford next week, so that they can right some wrongs.

Tyrone were full value for their win, and the nine-point winning margin probably flattered Donegal.
