AFFIDEA Ireland, Ireland’s leading independent diagnostic imaging provider, has announced that it is joining forces with Donegal GAA.
The company, which opened a new facility at Scally Place, Letterkenny, earlier this year has agreed a €9,000 three year sponsorship deal with the County Board.
The agreement with the club will enable players quick access to all diagnostic services covering X Rays, MRI’s and Ultrasounds, so that any potential injury can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Ten jobs were created when the new facility opened in June at a cost of €2 million to serve the people of Donegal and surrounding areas.
Patients who want to arrange a private scan previously faced a two hour drive to Sligo.
The new clinic, which includes a multi-modality scanning centre, serves as a primary care diagnostic scanning facility, offering MRI, Ultrasound and X-ray.
To mark the agreement, Affidea CEO Tom Finn will be joined by senior players and management of the Donegal GAA team in Letterkenny on Friday next, Friday, 4th November at 1pm.
