Declan Holian laid to rest amid devastating scenes

RAMELTON came to a standstill earlier today as hundreds of devastated family and friends gathered in St Mary’s Church to say an emotional farewell to local truck driver, Declan Holian.

Mr Holian (30) died following a collision between his truck and another truck on Monday morning in County Monaghan.

Mourners who gathered together in icy, freezing weather  conditions,  heard how Mr Holian was an “ever smiling” man, who was “always kind, thoughtful and generous” and a “caring and conscientious father”.
