Teenager killed and two injured in Inishowen crash

ONE teenager was killed and another seriously injured following a serious crash in Inishowen in the early hours of this morning.

A nineteen-year-old male passenger was fatally injured when the car he was travelling in left the road at Tooban, Burnfoot, at approximately 4.30a.m. There was no other vehicle involved.

The male driver and another female passenger, both aged 19, were removed to Letterkenny General Hospital (LGH) where the female passenger is in a serious condition.


The scene has been preserved and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are carrying out an investigation of the area. Diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was travelling on the main Buncrana to Derry Road, or in the vicinity of Tooban, to contact them at Buncrana Garda Station on 074 – 9320540, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any garda station.
