UNITS Of Letterkenny fire service rushed to a fire at the top of the Port Road at 4.30 this evening after a VW van went on fire.
Thick black smoke could be seen coming from the area and the road was closed off immediately amidst fears the van could explode.
The van had been parked outside VP McMullin Solicitors
Within minutes the fire service had the blaze under control, but the road remained closed.
