Last year Gartan increased their UK emergency service turnover by 23 per cent and are on course to increase it further this year. In addition to UK clients they now have a major contract with the largest fire service in Australia and further opportunities have been identified in New Zealand. This is an ambitious and growing company with it’s eye firmly on the export market.
Arklu is a children’s entertainment company that has a core focus on the doll market through its own developed brand called Lottie. Lottie was developed through 18 months of research working with child development experts, parents and kids. Lottie is now on sale in 30 countries via a network of 16 distribution partners with 99 per cent of the business exported.
In the past 12 months the company has sold over 300,000 dolls and has seen significant opportunities arise in the USA.
Plans are in place to grow the export market including the introduction of a boy doll, a series of books and hopes that a cartoon series will get commissioned. This company has achieved significant sales success in a difficult market in a very short time.
Moll Industries Ireland
Moll Industries Ireland are a custom Medical Injection Moulding and Contract manufacturing company targeting medical device, pharmaceutical and high tech industries internationally.
At present, 70 per cent of business is generated in The Netherlands, Spain, Czech Republic, China and The Dominican Republic, as the company reaps the rewards from a successful Strategic Development and Growth plan.
Export sales have grown by 40 per cent over the past two years and include securing competitive contracts from European clients.
The company hopes to maintain export growth by promoting their capabilities through various marketing activities, which will consist of attending trade shows, networking, direct marketing and media campaigns. This company is positioning itself well in a competitive worldwide market.
