ONE of the largest employers in Donegal, Pramerica Systems in Letterkenny, has been named among the top 25 ‘Great Places to Work’ in Europe. In the results of a recent survey published this week, Pramerica earned the Number 23 spot in the category of best large workplaces.
The company employs more than 1,000 people at their Mountain Top offices. The most recent accolade comes just months after being recognised as one of the best workplaces in Ireland.

“Earlier this year, we ranked Number 14 among Ireland’s ‘Best Workplaces’ and now Pramerica is recognised once again on an even broader scale,” said Caroline Faulkner, senior managing director and chief information officer at Pramerica Systems Ireland. “I’m proud of this recognition. It’s the talent and commitment of our team that strengthens our work environment and defines our success as a company.”

The Great Place to Work® study identifies and recognises the finest employers – and therefore the most satisfied workforces throughout Europe. Employees in each participating organisation complete a confidential questionnaire, rating their employers on almost 60 elements covering credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie in the workplace. Surveys are returned to the Great Place to Work® Institute by each individual employee to ensure confidentiality and honesty. Nearly 700,000 employees in more than 2,000 companies participated in the survey.

“The Great Workplace Era is a time when all people can expect to work for an organisation where they trust their leaders, enjoy their colleagues and take pride in what they do. A time, in other words, when workplaces make the world better,’ says China Gorman, global CEO of Great Place to Work.
Pramerica is a business and technology operations subsidiary of U.S.-based Prudential Financial Inc., a financial services leader with more than $1.1 trillion of assets under management as of March 31, 2014 and which has operations in the United States, Asia, Europe and Latin America. Pramerica was founded in County Donegal in June 2000. Pramerica has over 1,000 employees who benefit from an exciting working environment, great learning opportunities, a supportive management team and an extensive benefits package.
