THE perfect face and face shape has most definitely been an age old argument. Old school beauty teachings have always taught us that an oval face is the prettiest of them all, but with so many supermodels and stunning celebrities have very different face shapes this has put this theory out to the beauty panel jury.
Every face shape holds its own traits and uniqueness, but it can always be enhanced through contouring or sculpting, which can improve your features but not totally change your shape. So if you feel that your face shape could do with some work, you should sculpt it and learn to work with what you have.
Here at Sculpt we show you how to change your face with the beautiful technique of contouring, which is the make up artistry of shading and brightening areas of the face. This lighter coloured product enhances or makes an area bigger and the shader or dark product recedes and area or makes it sink in, making your face seem more sculpted or chiselled, so it basically gives you a more defined face, higher cheekbone and it can even give you a slimmer face by shaving off weight on your chin.
The easiest place to start with this is right under your chin with a darker bronzer or a dark crème concealer, then work right under your cheekbone in a straight line to give you stunning cheekbones. Some of the worlds most stunning and memorable women do not have oval faces and still manage to conquer their world.
Sculpt’s next Contouring Master Class is Thursday, June 12 and runs from 6.30pm – 9.30pm. The Contouring Master Class costs €55 and can be booked on Tel 0749890199 or www.sculptcosmetics.com. Check out our site for upcoming dates and all of our other courses offerings also.
Super Coloured Hair
So it is official; the ombre hair craze has gone slightly stale and has been replaced by summer colours and bright tones. The dip dye hair that hailed a darker root and brighter ends lasted so much longer than any other hair trend in recent times,
The actual technique of two colours of hair is still present but what had changed are the colours, gone are the blonde to brown and what have replaced them are hues of blues, lavender, oranges, corals, pinks and even green coupled with darker and lighter tone! Basically anything goes here so long as it is blended.
A Purple Haze
Kelly Osbourne has been sporting the full on lavender effect for quite some time now, her trend is arriving everywhere Kelly has changed her look, not only has Miss Osbourne dyed her hair a deeper, richer shade of purple, she’s also added in a cropped fringe and a soft undercut. The TV star posted the pic on her Instagram account: “Here is one pic of my new hair cut!!! What do you guys think?”
Hues of blues and green; At the Billboard Music Awards, Kylie Jenner (the youngest Kardashian sister) debuted a brand new turquoise dip-dyed ‘do which teamed with full, fluttery lashes and a nude lip to really let her new hair hue do the talking. She sported her now shorter lob, that is a long bob for the rest of use.
Red hair is always popular but this is a softer and more daring version of the flame haired look. Soft oranges and coral are awash this summer in
If you are keen to experiment with rainbow hair colours but feeling a bit shy? Make like gorgeous actress Sienna Miller and opt for pretty muted pink strands.
Not only is it an easy colour to carry off, it’ll fade through pretty peach back to your natural colour in no time at all. Please do not try this at home and visit a qualified stylist for this trend.
