Two shotguns stolen in Newtown’ burglarly


GARDAI are appealing for information after two shotguns, a hunting knife and a quantity of cash were stolen following a burglary at a house in Newtowncunningham yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred between 1 pm and 2 pm in Rooskey, on the road between Killea and Newtowncunningham.

A local man noticed a vehicle acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the robbery.


Gardai want to hear from anyone who may have noticed a blue/green car with a Northern registration beginning with the letters MHZ in the area.
