GARDAI investigating the murder of Andrew Allen in Buncrana two years ago have this morning arrested a male in his 40s in connection with the investigation.
He was arrested in County Donegal and is currently being detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Buncrana Garda Station.
Investigations are continuing.
Mr Allen (24), from Derry, was shot in the bedroom of his home at Links View Park, Buncrana, on February 9, 2012.
His girlfriend, who was also in the house at the time, miraculously escaped being injured.
The Republican Action Against Drugs group later claimed they carried out the killing saying Mr Allen was a drug-dealer.
However his family has strongly denied the claims.
