
THE funeral takes place in Burtonport tomorrow (Saturday) of the late Judge Frank O’Donnell, a native of the village and resident of Sandycove in Dublin.
Judge O’Donnell is the son of the late Pa O’Donnell TD.
He was 72 years of age when he passed away on Tuesday in St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
The deceased was a former President of the Law Society and had retired as a judge of the Circuit Court.
He was one of the first solicitors to be appointed to the bench. He has been described as a “trailblazer” by the Bar Council, the ruling body for barristers.
Requiem Mass will celebrated in Columba’s Church, Acres, Burtonport at 11 am tomorrow (Saturday ) morning with burial afterwards in Belcruit Cemetery.
