THE third annual Columba Doherty Fun, Run & Walk will be held in the parish of Gaoth Dobhair next week on Sunday, August 11.
The charity event, which this year raises funds for North West Cancer Group, was started following the tragic death of Columba Doherty (30) who tragically died in fire at his mobile home in Brinaleck in February 2010.

Organised by Columba’s sisters and extended family the event will take place at the Seaview Hotel, Bunbeg and will entail a 5km run or walk, or a 30-mile cycle. There will also be a vintage tractor run on the day.

The entry fee is by donation and registration will be from 1.30pm with the cycle starting at 2.30pm and the run at 3pm. There will be lots of entertainment on the day with refreshments afterwards.
