Ladies GAA: Milford bidding for another title

Milford Ladies

Milford Ladies

MILFORD’S ladies will look to emulate the club’s senior men’s team by taking a Championship title back to Moyle Park on Sunday.

Marty Barrett’s side take on Aodh Ruadh in the Donegal Intermediate ladies final at MacCumhaill Park (12 noon).

Milford won the Junior Championship last year and their transition to the Intermediate grade has been seamless.

Milford defeated Four Masters in both legs of their semi-final, winning by five points at home before winning 4-14 to 4-8 in Donegal town. Amber Barrett was the star of last week’s show, scoring 3-9.

Shannon McGroddy and Caoimhe Barrett are among the other big players for a Milford side that’s brimming with confidence.

Both these teams are unbeaten this year.

Aodh Ruadh have arrived into the final after defeating Cloughaneely in their semi-final.

In Tara Khan and Tanya O’Shea, the Ballyshannon girls have a strong midfield while Aoife Buggy gives them a fine defensive option with Aine Duffy, Donna Martin and Elaine Dorrian key in the forward division.
