PONYDANCE Theatre Company are making a very welcome return to the annual Earagail Arts Festival when they bring one of their original, award-winning show to West Donegal for three performances.

Where did it all go right? is a hearty lumpy mix of humour, honesty, careening and cavorting that takes place between a boy and a girl in a pub. The ever industrious Ponydance, champions of comedy dance theatre and all things brilliantly average, serve up a show that has even crossed the boundaries of language for them.

Leonie McDonagh, artistic director of the Ponydance Theatre Company, said the show is mostly comedy that appeals to human nature and doesn’t need language.

“We recently brought the show to France and although we put one of two French phrases into the show, it needed very little language and went down really well.

“I think it really boosted our confidence as we knew that it was not a language reliant show; I think the show is very universal and appeal to the human element, and through our performance we see all the different funny things that can happen between a boy and a girl.”

A confection of moves and movement to a soundtrack of garish music and nervous tension. Four outstanding performers dance their way into hearts, minds and underwear. You’ll laugh and cringe.

Ponydance will perform their show ‘Where did it all go right?’ in Dunfanaghy, Holy Trinity Parish Hall, Thursday, July 11, 8pm; Áislann Rann na Feirste, Friday, July 12, 8pm; Derrybeg, Teach Mhicí, Saturday, July 13, 3pm.

Tickets priced €5 available in person and over the phone at the festival box office at An Grianán Theatre, tel. 9120777 or via the website

Celebrating 25 years still standing up, comedian Colin Murphy comes back to Letterkenny for one night only to An Grianan theatre,...

JUST over a month after the sudden death of one of its key actors, the show certainly did go...
