FINN Harps will take in an overnight stay in Cork this evening ahead of their Airtricity League clash against Cobh Ramblers at St. Colman’s Park on Saturday evening (kick-off, 7.30).

The AA route planner states the journey from Ballybofey to Cobh is a sizeable 267 miles and Harps boss Peter Hutton hopes the overnight stay will free his players from feeling any tiredness in their legs that would no doubt hinder their chances of picking up a result were they to play the game on the same day they travelled.

“It’s important you prepare as best you can and there’s no question if we were to play the game on the same day as we travelled we wouldn’t be at our best,” said Hutton, whose side also took in an overnight stay before playing Waterford on the opening day of the season.
