THE next fundraiser for the Féile Carraig Arts & Culture , a Swap Night, will be held in the Hay Hall, Carrigart on Friday, February 22, at 8pm. The festival organisers are busy organising the 2013 festival which will take place August 23-25.
This year’s festival is a part of The Gathering national event, so the parish of Mevagh are encouraged to spread the word about the annual event and invite people home this summer.
The Swap Night will be held in the Hay Hall. So, clean out your closet, bring your unwanted and ill-fitting items, and go home with a new wardrobe.
Dresses, jeans, shirts, shoes, hang bags, accessories, hats and more. If you’ve got anything you think would be worth swapping with someone else, bring it alone.
Entry is only €5 and you can bring along your own wine too. Remember to tell all your family and friends- the more people who come along, the more you’ll have to choose from.
How it works: The organisers will hang up all the clothes according to their size and there will be a rail for each size.
They urge you to arrive at 8pm, have a glass of wine while they hang up what you’ve brought, and then they’ll let you all attack the rails at the same time so everyone has the opportunity to get their hands on something!
Upcoming events for your diary include a Tráthnóna Airneál on Easter Sunday, March 31, an Oíche Airneál on July 12 and look for us at this years’ Saint Patrick’s Day parade.
All donations are in aid of Fèile Carraig Arts & Culture 2013. For more information please call 085 136 0837 or Áine Doherty on 087 786 3929 or find us on Facebook.
