THIS Saturday night, March 31, sees the last in the current series of free concerts being held in Dunkineely by Coiste Cultúrtha Dhún Cheann Fhaolaidh.
Taking to the stage at McIntyre’s Bar will be The David Munnelly Band, one of the top bands in Irish Music at present.
Known for their whirlwind performances, the band has a busy schedule, touring America, Europe and even Israel.
Members include The Munnelly brothers, David (Accordion) and Kieran (Flute, Bodhrán, Snare, Vocals and Blues Harp), Ryan Molloy (Piano and Fiddles), and Shane McGowan (Guitar).
Also performing on the night will be Rita Gallagher, who can only be described as one of the greatest Irish traditional singers of all time. This is sure to be a night not to be missed.
This is the sixth concert in the series, and the last. It is, yet again, a marvellous opportunity for the people of Donegal to come and see some of Irish music’s top professional artists in a unique, intimate setting.
The concert at McIntyre’s Bar, Dunkineely, starts at 8.30pm and is absolutely free. It is advisable to come early to avoid disappointment.
