AS THE fund-raising continues for Sarah’s Smile, a charity project in aid of three-year-old Sarah McFeely who has a rare form of Cerebral Palsy, two big events are taking place this week.
Little Sarah hopes to attend the famous Peto Institute in Budapest for a month’s therapy where she will recieve a special form of education known as conductive education.
On Friday night there will be a sponsored wax upstairs in The Central Bar, Letterkenny, while Saturday is a tatoo day called Sarahs Saturday in Xtreme Tattoo, Port Road.
Wes, owner of Xtreme Tattoo, is offering a special deal with specific tattoos being done on the day – small hearts and smiley faces in purple ink; there is also eyebrow and tragus piercings in purple jewellery with all proceeds going straight to the charity.
Wes said: “Ive been tattooing in LK for almost 12 years and have recently been joined by Liv who is a body piercer. Together we decided, when hearing about Sarahs fundraising, that we would like to help out and came up with the idea of Sarah’s Saturday.
“We met Ray and Bronagh and they told us all about little Sarah and what their goals were, so we thought it would be good to put something back into the community and support this lovely family to achieve their goal.
“While people are great for donating money, we feel this way they are getting something in return and a lasting momento of the day! We are really looking forward to Sarah’s Saturday and hope it will be a great success,” he said.
